DOWN PIPE? Help!!!

Alright i'm getting ready so spend some money. I'm deciding weither or not to buy the thunder fab 3" downpipe. Any input on it? Please help guys i'm buying it tommorrow if possible. Also what are your opinions on Turbo timers? Which ones are good, i realize they all do the same things but i'm askin personal opinions. So tell me what ya think. Anyone have the 3" dp from corksport? And anyone had 3" test pipe made? How much? HELP OUT PLEASE!!!!

I have a bonez dp, and greddy turbo timer, both work great. i don't remember how much the dp was, but the turbo timer was like 89.99, then 10 bucks for the wireing harness.

You don't need a test pipe with the thunder fab DP, it replaces the cat also. You'll have boost problems with a straight pipe system.

your best bet is a DP and cat since the cat will help you control boost.

As far as I have seen/experienced, downpipes and turbo timers are two things that it doesn't really matter THAT much on which brand.
As long as you get a good reputable brand of each, they should be just as good and work great.
(same as air filter scenario...)

That downpipe in the picture looks like it will work well.

Or you can not dick around with that and just port the wastegate or close it off and get an external wastegate.

I realize you dont need a test pipe with the thunder fab dp but i was curious incase i bought the corksport one. How difficult is it port the wastegate? Since i'll have the turbo in my hands when i get the motor here in a few weeks. Thanks
