Unhappy down and down it goes

OK.. I am having a problem. First to get you started i got my car registered legally and insured now and am driving it all around. My problem is tonight in the way hoe i noticed i was losing oil pressure. As long as i drove at a slow pase and kept her unde 4500 rpms it wsfine, and eve fine mostl at high rpm's. but a few time the oil pressure went down to ZERO

i realized that my OMP was leaking slightly so it migh need new gaskets, but other than tha i was not losing much oil it was still full and also was my coolant, she had al kinds of power and ran great, but the pressure dropped to zeo twice, once after a high speed run where i ran her out to about 135-140 and once that i noticed after taking t to around 7000 rpms
what is going on i am worried about my baby

thanx for any input, is it abad OMP or the slight leak around it? or is it my oil sending unit?

you actually took your car up to 135 when you knew that your oil pressure was messin up???

this is just a guess but it sounds like a oil pump or regulator, it could be a leak if it has low pressure at low rpms all the time.

if it only goes down when dropping from a high rpm then it would be something other than a leak

once again this is just a guess, i have never had oil problems

Clean the wire connectors off of the oil pressure sensor first.&nbsp That should be a start...

Gee, I just answered this question like yesterday - you read the other posts???

Look for the round cylinderical "****" thing under the oil filter.&nbsp This has a wire with a funky connector on it that slides on sideways on the TOP of the oil pressure sensor.
