Red face dont know where to plug those plugs

I am currently putting a S4 TII engine in a S5 TII car - so I used all the parts of the old S5 engine. But now I have 4 plugs where I cant find the counterpart anymore!

1) one single cable shortly before the 2 starter cables
2) one single round black connector near the temp-sensor of the waterpump housing
3) one single round black connector a little bit further near the top water hose (maybe for the O2-sensor which I think I forgot to connect)
4) one 2-pin white connector at the same location

any suggestions appreciated!

greetings,

Harry

1) the 3 in that area are: knock sensor, temp gauge sender, oil pressure sender.
2) I forget.
3) Probably.
4) Maybe the boost controller?

the cables for the knock sensor and temp gauge sender are way to high and it isnt the oil pressor sender

Do you mean the boost sensor? That has a 4-pin connector. Or where do I find the boost controller?

Thanks for the input!

1. Tii engine doesn't have the knock sensor. Maybe the oi level sender and oil temp ont he oil pan. some don't have it.
2. Could be for the water temp sensor on the top of the water neck filler. some don't have.
3. either o2 or mixe of 2 and 3.
4.By the black one for the alternator? just left unplugged on mine.

Your not using the S5 harness are you?

The cables for the alternator are on the opposite side.

What?!?!?
All of the FC turbos had knock sensors.

It would be a LOT easier if you got pics of the offending plugs???

It MIGHT/MIGHT NOT help if you told them the color of the wires on the plugs. Like: it's a two socket plug. One wire is Black/green and the other wire is Black/White.

That way someone who has a series five wiring diagram can take a moment to look at it and say *That's for the Nome Sensor*.

Pictures help but only if the wire colors are shown clearly and the location of the plug.

I don't have a series five diagram......so I'm outta here.

1. all TII's have a knock sensor. It threads into the center iron, on the front side of the filler neck on an S4, and into the rotor housing on an S5, and connects via a single black wire.
2. The water temp sender in the filler neck is not a round, single wire connector.
3. Definitely not the oil temp sensor or the oil lever sensor. Neither connector is round and black.
4. Just because your car isn't wired correctly does not mean you should tell people to **** up their wiring.

If you don't know what you're talking about, don't answer. I don;t care if you give me the finger, it still makes you wrong.

1) need a better description
2) sounds like optional auxillery fan switch for the AC on the back of wp (some models didnt have it)
3) is this black connector kinda of ovalish/rectangular? What color is the wire? Does it split off from the main engine harness with the BAC connector? If so it's the o2 sensor connector
4) electronic OMP? Does it have a little nub on the bottom of the connector to snap into the metal bracket on the thermostat housing neck?

Thumbs up Update

Ok Folks.

With your help I could identify 3 of the 4 plugs:

1) one single cable shortly before the 2 starter cables
2) one single round black connector near the temp-sensor of the waterpump housing
3) one single round black connector a little bit further near the top water hose (maybe for the O2-sensor which I think I forgot to connect)
4) one 2-pin white connector at the same location

1) was from the oil level sensor at the oil pan
3) it was the O2-sensor
4) the BAC - sometimes I'm blind :-)

2) STILL DONT KNOW - it comes directly out where the wires for the front injectors and the wire for the temp sensor of the waterpump housing are. Its one round connector with one black cable (similar to 3)

So, still one to go ;-)

Harry
