Does your car do this?
i have an 87 n/a rx-7 and when i start it up the idiot/warning lights don't come on like they're supposed to. also, the seat belt buzzer, key reminder, and the horn don't work. does anyone know how to fix?

Dittos all the above. The idiot light cluster should come on when the key is turned to on. There is a relay in the CPU next to your left foot, that should get a signal from the alternator to pull in, which in turn puts 12v on the idiot lights to turn them on. When the alternator starts putting out, the relay relaxes and the lights go out. See that the two wire plug on the back of the alternator is on good.
Also go to http://www.fc3s.org/ and download the 88 fsm and the wiring diagrams. Its a free download.
Cold solder joints on the CPU do cause the horn and idiot lights not to work as they should.

oh, you can actually FIX your horn not working? I didn't feel like troubleshooting mine for inspection, so right now i have a house doorbell sitting in the console of my car...

well i would give up on the warning lights, but who needs a horn when u gotta middle finger. and if your good and can drive with your knees u have 2 middle fingers and a loud **** YOU!!!!!
