Does A Rotary need Back presure
Does A Rotary need Back presure
This is my first rx-7 and i need to know if i actually need exhaust back pressure for the motor to run decent or can i just straight pipe it...... please help
if you have a turbo then you dont but you would have to port the wastegate. if it is an NA im pretty sure that youre 5/6 ports will not open..and you have to have the airpump still installed.search for 5/6port and see what you can find...i know theres alot of info out there
its an N/A so yes you have to
1. keep the cat (or go str8 pipe and have the exhast shop weld the split air pipe flange to the test pipe)
2. Use the smog pump to open the ports (this is what i did easy as hell and the parts only cost me around $25.
If you just slap a test pipe on and do nothing for the 2 ports youll lose alot of top end power.
