Not really. It merely loosens all of the crud that keeps the apex seals from losing compression. It merely restores lost compression by cleaning the stuck and dirty seals! I reaaly noticed the change when I did it to my rex!

Yes, it does. Most rotary shops and professionals use this method to get jspec motors to turn over(I should know, I'm doing it right now w/ mine, lol). The compression will last until more carbon is built up. All the ATF does is eat up the carbon build up on the APEX seals and restores them. You can get a big improvement or a little, it all depends on how bad the buildup is, etc....

Well we do not use no ATF fluid nor I have seen other racers use it unless they got a bad engine. The ONLY reason for pouring oil in is when the apex seal springs are soft. Oil prevents the compression from being lost at startup due to fucked up seals and springs. A rotary engine needs good apex seal springs in order to build compression for startup. After the engine is running the centrifugal force takes care of the rest. That is why engines gone bad will run fine BUT are a bitch to start. So if your car needs oil to start then get the engine overhauled and don't be cheap!!!! Housings and rotors are very expensive do not risk loosing them...

The original topic is not about stuck seals and carbon buildup. It is about compression, that is why I stand by my answer. By the way is not like the ATF will stay there forever a few revolutions and it is gone with the combustion. If the engine is well built it or well taken care of it will not need **** like ATF...
