can someone confirm this for me?
can someone confirm this for me?
i have relocated my battery to the trunk and added the battery kill switch to the setup that can be acessed from the outside in order to pass tech at races according to nhra's rule book. the only problem is that the altenator keeps the car alive when the switch is turned to the off position. i know this is bad because the battery is a capacitor and absorbs alot of the power and surges that the altenator makes and if it is elimated from the car circut the power surges can destroy aolt of stuff. but my question is, if i hooked up a relay to disconnect the black and white wire on the altenator, will the car turn off when the battery kill switch is turned to off? i think it will. but i just wanted to check w/ someone who knows.
