http://mazdatrix.com/h2.htm where it says "86-92 Original Equipment"

According to the website, both s4 and s5 use the same part number left and right fronts, however the rears are evidently different.

I realize this is a very old thread but aren't we supposed to search for and look at old threads and reply instead of just starting new ones?

I too have very worn struts. I was looking for replacement ones. Ebay has Monroe replacements for under $100 but only for the rear. MONROE 71217 for 86-91 Mazda RX-7 RX7 Rear Strut Shock Absorber Pair Set (Fits: 1990 Mazda RX-7 GXL 1.3L). I am considering replacing them with stock absorbers and springs mostly because I just feel I want the car with completely stock parts and functionality.

I think these Monroe OE SpectrumŽ Shock Absorbers: 71217 are for this vehicle but it doesn't say anywhere in his listing about AAS or Auto Adjusting Suspension.

Does anyone know where to get replacement springs?

I did a quick search. Sorry for posting too quick. The website says these struts are available with the AAS. http://www.monroe.com/en-US/catalog/e-Catalog

any strut for an FC will fit the car, but the only struts that will work with the AAS system are the stock ones.

if you want an OE type of shock, kyb and tokico both make such things, and actually ARE the OE for the shocks.
