I was wondering if any of the models come with ABS and also if there is a different intake manifold between the n/a's and tII's?

Yes and yes.
in my owners manual, it says abs was an option for my s5.

the intake manifold is different because the turbo engine is a 4 port engine and the na has 6 ports

I believe all S5's (89-91) came with ABS. Easily removable by the way

only a few 89+ FCs had ABS. it was a rare option that i personaly havent seen much of(only one car so equiped). ive heard good and bad things about its performance but i do know that if a T2 has ABS, then it makes it really hard to do work on that side of the engine. its right above the turbo. umm, i dont think it would be that easy to remove. it would require new brake hard lines and a whole mess of new stuff to be installed. i dunno though, never had much experience with it.

All it takes to remove it is a Jyard trip
I got mine for like $50, and it'll take me maybe 2 hours at the most.

abs was first offered in 87 on the gxl and turbo2 only.
in 89 it was standard on the turbo, optional on everything else

Edit: Nevermind, you did it the right way. Although I ague, that's not exactly what most people call easy.

Ya, well with the engine out, its easily accessable

EDIT - What I meant by easily removable was: It is not something that is hard enough to do that it should sway your decision to buy the car

The ABS on RX-7's sucks ***. About half of the ABS pumps leak brake fluid, a new pump is over $2000, and AFAWK, the pumps are not rebuildable.

I removed my ABS pump before it started leaking.
