i read that article before, but i figure the only time that it would really matter is when i let off after full throttle. Then it would run rich, theoretically, but other then that, there should be a problem. If there's something I'm missing please let me know, becuase a psshhht is just cool, not something that's more important than my car's health.

The BOV works by relieving the pressure in the inlet tract as quickly as possible. A check valve will restrict that airflow, and if you run higher than stock boost (and who doesn't) you will strike compressor surge earlier than normal. IMO you shouldn't reduce the capacity of the BOV just for the noise, particulary when there's a better way to get the same effect.

aren't you still blowing off metered air, even if you do it like that autospeed article?

Yes - and the AFM calls for extra fuel during gear changes.

i got my typhoon stage 2 bov from ebay... plugged right in to the stock bov rubber hose that comes off the manifold. 15 sec install... 1 hose clamp and a plug for the hole in the T.I.D.

the typhoon bov was $39.00 after shipping from EBAY. The brass monster you have there looks umm.... ok im gonna leave it alone. GET a REAL bov.... PLEASE!
