Disabling Cruise control
Has anyone done this before? I don't use it [doesn't work], and i guess it is the source of my power drain. Would it be as easy as pulling the fuse or ripping the thing out and cutting wires.
And has anyone ever had a problem where the brakes work half the time? When i try to slow down, i get alot of brake fade like the brakes need to be bled, when i already bled them Any clues?

You can disable the Cruise by Disconnecting the Cruise actuator from the Engine(the cable) and taking the Actuator Right off the Connector and Out of the engine bay.
Also go to the driver's Side kick panel and disconnect the CPU that it goes to.,(Silver box beside Flasher CPU,near the Fuse Block, under the dash, driver's side).
another Thing you can do to Make sure the Thing is Totally completely disconnected is to Take the surround off and Disconnect the Cruise switch). That should be it.
My guess about the Brake fade is "maybe" teh master cylinder starting to go.If you have to Pump the Brakes to get a Good Pedal, then that is a Sign of it starting to let go..But As I said,it's a guess,I can't be sure as I am not near your car!..good luck.

sorry but no way no how is the cruise control your cause for power loss. It can only open the throttle not bind or reduce it. Look at the actuating assembly yourself and you will quickly see why.

If that's the case, why not just disconnect it from the connector behind the switch?
3 phillips head screws for the gauge surround, 2 more at the bottom, if the plastic has broken yet, 5 screws total. Remove surround to get to cruise control switch harness. Unclip. Reinstall surround.
Problem solved.

Cruise Control cannot cause the draining of the battery overnight...ever (Unless someone went out of their way to rewire the fuse box so IG1 was on the battery bus). Also I'm assuming you don't leave the key in the ignition and put to On or better overnight....humor.
The Cruise Control fuse is on the interior bus called IG1. IG1 and any fuse on IG1 only gets power if the key is turned to ON or better. If the key is OFF there is no power to the IG1 bus i.e. no power to the Cruise Control fuse (Meter fuse).
See attached jpg.
Even if the cruise control fuse (METER) was on the Batt bus, you could just unplug the elect plug to the Cruise Switch and that would kill power to the Cruise Control Unit AND the Actuator both.
Then you'd still have power to the clutch switch and the brake pedal switch, but those only carry power if the clutch is depressed or the brake pedal depressed.
