ECU Part Numbers (this is the version # that's on the ECU itself)
84-85 GSL-SE N304 18 880A
86-87 NA N326 18 880, N3Y6 18 880
87 Turbo N332 18 880
88 NA N327 18 880
88 Turbo N333 18 880
88 Convertible N338 18 880
89 NA California N350 18 880
89 NA Fed. N351 18 880
89 Conv. CA N352 18 880
89 Conv. Fed. N353 18 880
89 Turbo N370 18 880

as found at http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/

so yes different years

as long as the first 3 parts are the same then they will be interchangeable. n32x will work as long as its replacing n32x

There is no significant difference, only a few minor fuel and timing tweaks most likely for emissions reasons.

though I am kinda curious about mine
have an 87 the ecu is the 326 have a 327 boost sensor
has the early 86 style injectors

any idea why the 327 boost sensor is there? and that is the sensor that doesn't need all the extra grounding and stuff right

I think it may have something to do with the injectors being low/high impedence

Again for the _&$@_%^^(*$@^&_&#@%_&@ time, the ECU does NOT care if the fuel injectors are high or low.

If you wasn't quite sure, you shouldn't be posting in the first place.
