different s4 turbos?

Hi all. I have what seems to be 2 different turbos here on s4 engines. I noticed it first when one was harder to get off the engine because the cold side of the turbo was closer to the engine. The cold sides numbers seem to be the same, but the hot side, one says 775 2n5, and the other says 66a 1n5. Anybody have any ideas why they would be different? Both 87 engines.... The 775 2n5 compressor side of the turbo is definitely closer to the manifold than the 66a 1n5.

Thanks

they are all the same with an exception
s4 turbos with cracks, and s4 turbos without cracks
other than that, they are all the same, and im not so sure about the latter one

haha

I got it in jenkin, went to turn the key, and heard click click. Got under the car and found the main power cable going to the starter broke off right before the connector. I took the harness out of my t2 parts car, but ran out of moral. :P haha Going to change that after class tomorrow. I Will let cha know how it goes.

Found some interesting suprises that I Will will message you.

THANKS AGAIN!

I've never seen different turbos. US and jspec turbos are the same. There is only series 5, and 4. They have identical compressor housings, wheels, center sections, but different turbine housings, wastegate actuators, and manifolds.

Neither of those compressor numbers you posted mean anything to me. The numbers are supposed to be HT18-2S.

I'd like to see pics of what you have.

Something is not completely stock. All FC turbos sit in exactly the same place, and we know this because the exhaust, intake, oil and water connections always line up no matter what turbo you use.

Does one of those turbos have non-stock oil and water lines?
