I'm sorry about this post. I actually found a site from looking at the 3rd generation archives but I do have one last question and I hope no one has asked this (I'm probably sure they have) is the color of the stock gauges orange because of the LEDs or the film? I saw a kit and it was $89.00 and if the LEDs are what cause the color then I can get those for real cheap

 

Indoxone used to make them. Haven't heard anything of them in a few years though.

Corksport sells them. there green... not my favorit color.. perhaps look on ebay. anybody know what the light bulb number is?

I have reverse glow guages on my fc.. there decent.

 

check ebay for gauges. There's a bunch of indiglo ones there. The color comes from the color of the gauge face and not the lights. FC's don't use LED lights, and the bulbs used to light the gauge cluster is just a couple of small incandescent (regular filament) bulbs. The bulbs shine light onto a fiber optic dealie that shines light onto the gauges. The bulbs have no color film on them. They're just regular bulbs.

Simply put, you need to change the gauge face to change the color of the gauges.

 

I guess i'll be sticking with the stock colors. not really willing to spend $40-100 for guage faces. thanks for the info.

 

u can get a set on ebay for like 15 bucks there decent..alot better then stock

 

I have CorkSport faces, I can switch them blue or green.

 

how'd you search it? i've been lookin on ebay and i found the gauge pods and gauge faces up to an 88. they've kinda left out the 90s.

 

do a search for "fc3s gauge"

everyone's so into the JDM thing that FC3S will give you way better results than RX-7.
