My understanding is that the exhaust turbines are the same. The housings are different and the S5 has a dual wastegate setup compared to the single on the S4. As for the exhuast housings the S4 uses the twin scroll system with two different sized exhaust runners.(using only the smaller of the two at lower rpms). The S5 uses two seperate runners of the same size.

opps posted info about the hot side instead of the cold side. I believe the compressor wheel and housing are exactly the same but don't quote me on that.

I'm gonna have a hybrid up for sale soon. Its a s4 with upgraded compressor done by turbonetics ~15k miles ago. PM me if interested.

P.S. I ported the wastegate and runners and knife-edged the compressor housing.

Hmm...

The Jspec I received, have a double blade(?) setup on the cold side, where the old S4 turbo only had a sigle blade on the cold side.

Does that means that I have a upgraded cold side?

... or a downgraded one

check the sizes by using a caliper.

Good luck.
