I was wondering, what's the difference between the s4 o the s5, the gtu, gtus, or TII, and any other model fc with a stock wing. I am looking for one that i can paint to match the rest of the car, not the plastic ones like the ones ive seen, that are always black no matter what. Which model wing is that?

 

I think the black wings are 87 and maybe 88's....The 89-91 wings are all painted and look like my photos. Even tough mine is an Erebuni GTU replacement....But you get the point

 

so, I need on like yours, thTTU s5 then? or the erebuni replacement. but will it fit an s4?

all wings that looks like bkapold are same, i have a 91 wing on my 87, and i think only 10th anniv wings has the word MAZDA embossed on top, because i have a 91 wing and its embossed on the bottom, or prolly they shaved it?

I've got a Wing that looks simular to a stocker except that It Is molded on and flares out more.

 

the black only wing is the "lip spoiler" found on the 87 sport and optional on the 86-88 models. It is plastic though and tends to decay over time.

It can still be bought through mazda or buy a salvaged /used one.

The other wings you've seen are:

89-91 Turbo II/GTU-S style
87-88 Turbo II style (similar to the the 89-91 style, but the mazda logo is on top)
88-91 Convertible "Wing"
Mazdaspeed "beefy" wing
Mazdaspeed "spoiler extension" for the 88-91 TII style wing

My GTUs has the stock wing and it too say "mazda" on the under side.

 

My 88 GXL is color matched with the mazda logo on top, TII style.

 

what does the stock vert wing look like??? i don't think i ever saw one (is it like the one on the mazdatrix web site?)

The black plastic spoiler only came with the 86-87 Sport aero kit. The other 86-87 models were not available with spoilers, and the 88 models had the new spoiler type which is found on the coupes of all later models.

I'm not positive, but I believe that the black plastic spoiler was sold as an aftermarket item by Mazda Finish Line prior to 1988. However, I do have the 1988 Mazda Finish Line catalog in my hand right now, and the black spoiler is not listed. FYI, here are the aftermarket products that are listed for the RX-7:

Rear Aerodynamic Spoiler "Wing-type spoiler features an extruded aluminum air foil. A lip style spoiler is also available. (See Cargo Cover.) Both spoilers are satin black and can be painted to match your RX-7." Evil Aviator notes: The Aerowing spoiler looks like the convertible spoiler. The picture of the lip spoiler was also the picture for the cargo cover, hence the reference.

It's the Series V Kaminari bumper, which nobody seems to make, sell, or provide copies of I wish corksport would offer it, and I've asked already as well.

It would probably fit, but the S4 version www.corksport.com sells would definitly fit better.
