Right now my pre-cats are gutted. if I switch to a downpipe the would only replace the pre-cats so I could keep my main-cat, would I notice a diffrence over my currently gutted pre-cats?
Yes you will. I went from gutted cats to a Bonez prescilencer replacement pipe. There is a noticable difference at high rpms (5500+) It also makes it a little louder!
I no longer use that pipe, as I have headers now... I am in Canada, is anyone wants the pipe- $100 canadian (Like $65 US).
Oops, I just saw that you wanted to keep the main cat. I wouldn't bother making up another pipe for in front of it. WIth the cat in place, a stock cat-back, and a relatively stock engine, It wouldn't make a lick of difference.
