I have a 1989 Savanna RX-7. I noticed these connectors in the bundle of connectors right behind the headlight. These two don't look anything like any of the others, so I was wondering if they were replaced with non-factory ones. If so, why? How do I find out which connectors they replaced?
If it helps, I can't find my FTP or turn signal connectors, so that's my main suspicion. But why?
US model FC's just used a clear lens for the FTP lights. With headlights in down position, flashing the high beams would cause the light to be seen through the FTP lens. The JDM model FC's actually had FTP light with a bulb in them. The previous owner probably replaced the FTP clear lens with the JDM version with a bulb. Here's a photo of a JDM FTP light with bulb. The connector in the photo (what you see of it) looks like it plugs into the connectors in your photo.

Yes, I have a Savanna RX-7, the JDM model. I think it's a GT-R trim specifically. That's good to know at least that my FTP lense connector is there. I didn't know for sure because the bulbs/connectors are actually missing from my lenses, so I was going to order new ones from GeeSpec. I think he also has a version of the harness that connects your turn signals to the FTP lenses and has them blink in synch, so hopefully that'll make up for not having turn signal connectors
