detonate on boost

my motor detonates as soon as i hit boost or at 4000 rpm.but i can easy it without stopping it to 6000, i tried that far an stopped. well I know its not my boost/pressure sensor because I borrowed a friends (i know it worked) and it still did it. i thoguht next maybe it was my fuel cut defencer so i disconnected it from the pressure snsor and it still did it. i'm not to sure what to look at next any suggestions please ask me any questions. and i'm boosting 15 lbs with no problems previously till this incident. Thanks

How do you know its detonating? Can you verify it with a wideband o2 (for lean spikes). What size injectors? Almost sounds like the 3800rpm hesitation.

No fuel mods or tuning will do that at 15 psi on a upgraded turbo...

if you're motor was detonating like that, it would probably be toast.

absolutley! and lets get this straight..............You have a 60-1 turbo, with a streetport, boosting 15psi on stock tmic??? Oh damn dude I'm supprised your engine lasted this long. Lets say the tmic is working (witch it isn't at 15lbs with a 60-1) your fuel, since it looks like no mods, will be leaning way out with that bigger turbo. You need an upgraded pump with 4x720's for that turbo. Good luck man hopefully it's nothing I mentioned but I fear the worst with the mods you have.

Yeah, samething happened to me, I didnt know it was detonation. I was running 15 psi on To4b with no fuel mods, you need an upgraded fuel pump with at least 720cc all around and a s-afc.
