details about LSD
Im pretty sure the machanical LSDs are 2 ways.
Does anyone have any clue about how the Viscous LSDs lock up? I would guess they are 1 way.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Not quite sure what you are asking but...
One axle spinning at a different rate than the other causes the silicon/viscous fluid to heat/change properties and lock up to about 80% of full lock.
Doesn't matter which axle, there are perfed plates for each.

Im talking about if the viscous locks up when decel.
I know how a viscous works, I was just suprised to find out that the machanical LSD is 2way. Very HAPPY! I also found out that neither kaaz nor cusco makes 2way fc lsds. They only carry 1.5 or1 ways, something like that. Anyways I aint payin $700 for anything but a 2 way. I was just wondering because I may want to get a 87TIIlsd for my 90TII.

Too bad they dont make them for FCs. Mazdatrix has them but they are soooo expensive. I guess Id have to ride and slide in a car equiped with one to consider buying one.

I dunno what the big hang-up with 2-way LSD's. Most drivers don't like them, unless we're talking top-tier drifting, which I doubt you're that good enough to be.
