Denso injector clips

Denso injector clips FYI

so today i was out looking for some injector clips and finally came accross a knowledgable parts person, while the other guy who originally fumbled around trying to give me the wrong clips he saw this and grabbed a box off the shelf and brought it over, to my surprise they looked perfectly OEM so i figured i would pass along the info since this part number didn't come up with a search and i have seen the universal clips but these are cheaper (cost about $5 each) and better quality.

part # is a Borg Warner(BWD) part: 27427, there is 4 in each box.



these are made for low impedence (S4) injectors but the latter high impedence rectangular plug offset notch injectors can be modified to work with them by simply cutting off the outer lug with a razor blade.

i highly recommend replacing these when pulling the UIM or replacing the motor, the original clips are almost always in crappy shape.

i'm sure they would but i haven't screwed with a Ford lately and don't plan on it anytime soon.

well like i said i have no idea, both of those injectors would require modifications to fit the rails, neither of which i have bothered to try fitting into a 7.

i have seen and used the bosch ones but i prefer these, just letting everyone know there is an OEM style clip still available since all i have seen is the Bosch replacement clips.

Awesome, you're a life saver. The idiots at the parts places here just look under RX-7 - injector and don't see it, so they say they don't have it. I miss the O'reilly's in Temple, they had really knowledgable employees....

FYI, the 90-92 Mazda MX-6 GT (turbo) injector clips will fit the 89-91 S5 460cc and 550cc injectors. I have the 550's on my car right now and they are dimensionally the same (injectors & clips) as the MX-6 GT ones (90-92).

thanks for the info, i didn't check to see if they had a part # to fit the S5 injectors, if i go back i will see if i can get that info.

Those don't look weather tight. The RS Autosports (as well as the clips available locally in my area) are all weather tight with a gasket sealing the wires as well as a gasket sealing to the injector itself.

they are weather tight, these clips are OEM type, the stock boots that fit over the wires on the stock injector clips can be removed and placed onto these, they also have a rubber seal inside the connector to seal the inside. believe me they are as close to OEM as you can get. i will also see if i can get a part # for new rubber insulator boots for them, you could also just slide heat shring tubing over the wires/clip or a little bit of liquid tape or silicone would seal them up just fine.

with these i just tranferred some hardware off the original injector clips such as the rubber boots and the wire clips and everything was good as new.

Injector Connetions

So this connector here will replace the stock connectors on a stock S4 engine?



Took my UIM off to fix my pulsation dampener and found out the car had caught fire once before all the wiring fell appart when I took the primary injectors out.

Yes they will fit; I have a set like those on my can now. But only low impedance injectors, 86 and early 87. If look at that clip you will see a little grove molded into the top of the clip in the center. High impedance injectors have that grove offset to one side. You can use those clips on high impedance injectors by cutting off the lug on the injector.
