Dash lights NOT WORKING!

ok, i have a weird problem, one of my dash illumination bulbs went out, so i figured i'd replace them ALL while i was back there. i replaced them with red bulbs instead of white ones, 194 is the bulb type. i replaced them all, and when i plug everything back in ( by ALL I mean both main plugs, spedo wire, and the 4 surrounding plugs)
when i put it back together, the only lights that liht up when i turn the switch on are the rear defrost and light switch cluster lights.......anyone have any ideas? I need to get this done!

As long as the red bulbs you used have the same current and voltage rating as the white ones, they should work. Are you sure you have standard 12V bulbs?

Make sure the wiring harness at the back of the cluster is tight, and that ALL of the bulbs are installed.

Aaron, will having a burnt out bulb, or not having one of the bulbs in correctly make the rest not work?

I'm also cunfused as to why the lights on the left side of the dash surround light up (light switch/defrost/headlight doors), but the ones on the left side (wipers/rear wiper/hazard) dont

Panel light control here jpg

Free factory service manual at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com

Betcha the cigar lighter light does not work either. See the Red/Green wire??????? in the jpg above. The RG that feeds your wiper lites?

Almost forgot. According to your words, you have two left sides in your car. What model came with that feature???????

Like mom said *two lefts don't make a right*.

I think you should pull the wiper switch plug off and look for voltage at the RED/GREEN wire while playing with the Panel Lite Control. You can look at the jpg of the wipers I attached and see that that is the wire that feeds the two 1.4W lites in the wiper switch. Then you can look at the jpg of the headlights jpg I attached and see to the far right of that jpg, the RED/GREEN (RG) wire and all the items it feeds listed one above the other, and how the RED/GREEN wire goes to the Panel Lite Contro switch.

If you have volage on the RED/GREEN wire, then the lites must be kaput. Or........
