damn you power steering sensor!

So I have an aftermarket wheel and hub but it does have the holes for the tabs in it. Everything was fine for months and then all of a sudden one day it starts to beep... single beeps constantly... forever.

I took my wheel off today to see what was up with the sensors. I see a brass ring with 2 notches in it which line up with the posts on the little white ring with the tabs on it.

Behind that I see another bigger black ring with an arrow on it as well. I lined them all up at 9:00 and put the wheel back on.

Started up the car and took it for a spin.

squeeky when i turn the wheel and then after a few mins... beep... the same contant beeping from before.

is there something I'm not getting?
