that damn clock
that damn clock
I realize that the clock is a pretty normal thing to start pooping out on the second gens. However when I bought the car, the previous owner also gave me a new idiot light cluster that he was about to put on. Well I put the new one on, and now I actually get the low fuel light to come on and it's a lot brighter. But....the clock still is a no go. I'm kinda
by this. Are there any grounds for the clock the entire piece that I should start checking? I'm stumped, thanks for any help.

It's just broken solder joints - there's about 20 solder joints at the connector that can break, so one idiot light cluster may be better than the other.
Do a solder job on your spare one and you'll be good to go. The clock is usually the first thing that goes out on the cluster.

yeah thats defenitely the solder points i too beat my clock and it makes it flicker but i resoldered it so it works good just sometimes out of the blue it will flicker.... so i beat on it for fun
LOL when ever I need to know what time it is I punch my clock to! I like it to stay off tho, all my gagues and stuff are orange and the clock is that fairy blue color! whats up with that! lol
before you go punching your clock.... check the fuse in the fuse box labelled room...should be 7.5A...
if its blown your interior lights, clock, door lights etc won't be working...
if its good then hit the clock ......
or buy a soldering iron..
