Daily Beaters

Wsup guys, I was lookin for a daily beater and the Gen.2 rx7's caught my eye. I found one that has about 150 K miles but had a rebuild bout 5k miles ago. How long do you think this car will last me ? They seem like great cars, turbo, and sporty. I need something to ride in the winter, do some sick drift in the snow, lol. Thanx a lot guys,

ps. Do you think that I can add a small shot of nitrous to this engine or is it to old ?
thanx again

Just remember to get wet NOS as dry not will lean out the engine

Which model rx-7 did you get (turbo II, GTU, GXL, Sport, SE, Convertible, GTU-S, 2+2, etc..)??

Before you run NOS just verify the tuneup was done, verify the exhaust is not clogged (and put a downpipe on if it has the pre-cat), etc..

Make sure she's tuned & can breath before modding

I didn't buy the car yet, but I found one that I like that has about 175K miles on the car with a engine rebuild about 5kk miles ago. Its a turbo, so i was going to go with just a d/p, intake, exhaust and 75 shot nos wet system. I'm not to familiar with rotaries though. Anyway, like i said, its gonna be my daily driver. O by the way, the guy is askin 4 k for it, is it a good deal ? thanx guys

sounds like a pretty good deal depending on who did the rebuild. I wouldnt say no to it.

Also you might look into propane instead of NO2 I havent heard anything bad about propane. besides you can trick the switches to run continuously when getting an emissions check...... H2O and CO2...... no cats.... ... passed

A few pictures & details for you

Hey welcome to the forum.

Best thing about the rx-7s is the car is 100% designed as a TRUE sports car - not a "sports coupe" or "sports sendan."

The Turbo II is a SUPERCAR and is the tuners DREAM CAR. Mazda designed the car with 450HP in mind but detuned to 200/180 ft-lbs torque. What that means is you can GO NUTS designing a porsche killer for little $$$.

The rotary engine is PERFECT for a sports car. Mazda designed the rx-7 to take 130% advantage of it. That means you get lightweight HIGH OUTPUT performance, UNLIMITED REVING (there's nothing to break), small engine means sweet aerodynamics = low drag. Handlign is the BEST part of the rotary experience. The chassis has rear steer like some porsches, so you can kick some serious butt around the corners. The car handles & drives so well - it inspires you to push the car beyond what you think it's capable of
