D.A.D. Racing Seats...
Well guys I relaly want to get away from my leather seats(slide to much and all). They are mint not a hole or mark on them, from my 91 coupe(35,000 miles). So Im thinking of sealing them. But I dont know how muc to ask. Remember they are mint!
So Im on ebay looking at the Sparcos and all and realize I dont have 1 grand for seats lol sooo I see the D.A.D. seats. Anyone know how they are or have them?
Thanks Nick

D.A.D is some cheap-O company like the rest of the wannabes...I would just go with some good quality seats..there are seats that you can get 2 for under a grand. I have Corbeau Forza seats...love em, and didn't break the piggy bank.

I had a forza in my bimmer. It was a nice seat, but the lumbar support really sucks. You can get someone to sew you up a pillow for it or you can get the ready made ones from several places. I also drove my bimmer 90 miles a day to and from work.
Another option is the Cobra Monaco. It's considerably heavier @ 20lbs vs. the forza's 16lbs, but it has a full steel plate running the back and bottom of the seat. The forza is just a fabric cover on a tubular frame.
I have a friend with a pair of the monaco's he's trying to sell, and I'm trying to work something out with him on them now.
Either can be had for less than 475/pr shipped.
Recliners are for slow cars. Honestly, How often to you adjust the back of the seat?

I sit in them in a "relaxed" style most of the time, harnesses not 'too' tight, then, when Im hitting the curves, I scoot a notch or two forward and the harnesses PULL you into the seat, give the shoulder straps a tug..and Im set.

Me? Corbeau doesn't MAKE a 6point...3 and 4.
And yea, 220 each, the brackets are like 40ish, dont remember what the harnesses were, and custom 4 point, but my harnesses are bolted in the stock side holes and to the rear hatch floor. I will get you a pic.

Yep, They're essentially the same seat with the difference being the protection/support is increased in the cobra's. I also noticed that the shoulder bolsters are better located on the cobra's, but that could just be for me. I weigh just over 200lbs (with a 34" waist, 43" chest combo) and fit very nicely in both, but I will be buying monaco's for my car based on the comfort factor.

If this one did not look so cool i would just get the 4 point or a nive 5 point. But it looks so sweet and is proly safer too. Do you think I could have a roll cage made locally for a couple of hundred and have them custom fit the harnesses for me. Can you show pics of your roll cage too.

they make custom brackets for all racing seats. You can also weld up your own adaptor to use the stock sliders. Or, You can make a pedistal in the car that doesn't move and mount it where its comfortable for you. (not recommended)
Sliders are good because you never know when the wife or gf will need to take you to the hospital and having the seat too far back and no way to move it isn't going to work out so great.
