CV shaft where can i find?
i have been looking for constant velocity shafts for my 1987 turbo 2 rx7 apparently mine needs replacing does any one know where I can get one from?

Japan2LA(member on this forum) usually carries a set or two in his back pocket.

I went to Autozone and O'Reily and ordered what they listed as for a TII, but in both cases what they delivered was for an NA.
The trick is to Google around and get the correct part number for a TII. With that in hand I bought mine off Ebay. But don't ask me what that part number is as it's been a while since I went through that exercise.
Edit: PM FC3S91 (Robert) and ask for the part number. He went through that process the same time I did, and his memory amazes me sometimes.

It does not appear that they are included.
Although I've never heard of anyone breaking a bearing pack. If you dont have any axles that might be a minor inconvenience, but the vast majority of people looking to upgrade to cromolly axles would have bearing packs available to them already.

yea? im really thinking about getting the 30,000 mile cv shaft from la2japanm for $257
the mechanic i had look at my car to give me the down low about its problems said its getting ready to go so i might as well get it

come to think of it im thinking it might be the bearings and not the shaft the mechanic was saying when the rear tires rotate it makes a swooshing sound on the left side if the shaft was messed up it would not be that would it most likely the bearings needs lubrication but i might as well replace them now right?

Typically the only time the actual shaft needs to be replaced is when it breaks (a not entirely uncommon occurrence in drift and drag circles). If you're just getting some noise then its most likely the bearings (or maybe just the grease) that needs to be replaced.
My point is simply that with the scarcity of TII axles I would rather replace them once (with cromolly) and never worry about breaking them down the road and being unable to find replacements. You simply break them down periodically and regrease them and you're good to go.

just these crazy ones not saying its not worth it but financially id rather inspect mine again and grease the bearings in the shaft
this was the option i was given from him was the web page.
tell me what you think or if i can still find those cromolly axels

Wow. That will make a thick wallet get thin real quick!!!! By the description, great stuff though.
When I blew my halfshaft I got lucky (thank you Robert) and located a replacement bearing pack rather quickly. So pretty much dodged this now difficult availability.
TII half shafts used to show up on the forum all the time, but now rarely. Afterward I kept watching EBay and was able to pick up a pair for a pretty good price, so I grabbed them for the shelf since I own two cars that might need a replacement one day.
