Cutting the weight off a non-comp diff mount

Anyone done this? Would it effect anything? I am doing a pinion snubber/diff mount install and cutting the weight off the front would give me more room to wrench.

Good to know, I was specfically refering to it being kind of in the way of the front lower bolt/nut for swinging a wrench without dropping the entire subframe.
