Cut AC Belt Will car run fine?
Will it? I don't exactly got time right now to remove the whole AC system, or the tools, so i was wondering if just cutting the belt would suffice for now. I have seen on other cars though (not rotaries) the car would get a real rough idle and what not.
Just wondering

NO you will not loose or hurt anything by cutting the belt
But get rid of that damn AC/PS system all together, the whole thing is like 100 lbs, and hell, you dont need it.
cut the belt, it wont hurt.

stock exhaust has three cat converters.. take them off, get a good set of headers, or at least a race pipe..
you'll notice a huge increase in power output without your cat converters on.. good luck, let us know if you need anything.

Cutting the belt could not possibly make a car run badly unless there were other components on the belt (like an alternator, etc.). This is not the case on an RX-7 but some cars do have other things on the AC belt. My friend's explorer has one belt for all of the components.
Then again, it is a ford

There is little to no resistance on the ps pulley when its not activated. Just leave it alone until you have the tools to remove it.

On a series4? No, exhaust backpressure should do the trick for you, but if the exhaust is too free flowing you'll have to rig the airpump up to open them.
