Could be either or it could be the slave line. Do you have any fluid left?

It's more likely the slave. Run your hand along the line and see if you can feel any fluid leaks or tears in the line or slave cylinder boot.

there's not much to tell except that you have a leak or a blown slave. the slave blows more often so just check everything and pray that it isnt a problem inside the tranny like a stuck fork. just use the old newspaper under the car and keep filling it and pumping the clutch

ok its not the master i believe its the slave the master seemed fine i didnt notice any craks or nothing in the pipe. the slave is semi clean from what i can see but under the car right in the middle is a puddle of clutch fluid. So i am guessing its the slave. How much are they and how hard are they to install?

About $40 and only 2 bolts plus the line, then you need to bleed it. I would say replace the line with a braided stainless one while you are doing this though. It's a LITTLE hard to get to- remove the oil filter for better access. Don't forget the ground wire (with the little black box thing on it) that goes to one of the bolts.

Be sure to remove the slave so that you can verify that it is bad before you buy a new one.

Also, check your local generic auto parts store before you pay a fortune at the Mazda dealership. I learned this one about the clutch slave the hard way.
