Crank position sensor stuck
I need to remove mine, and it doesn't seem to want to come out. I removed that one bolt that was holding it on, and I made several full rotations while pulling on it hoping it would pop out. I tried tapping it with a hammer as well. It's still stuck. Suggestions?

If it'll come up over that stud I'm sure it'll come out.
It'll pop out if you just pull on it and wiggle it...
Make sure to put some oil on the o-ring before you put it back in... Mine did the same thing when I first took it out.

Yeah... it should just pop out, but it'll take a lot of force because of the dried up O-ring (you should be able to twist it with your hand...that's how you adjust timing).

I had the same problem a couple years ago. Put your back into it. Don't pry on it with anything.. just pull straight out. Wiggle it a bit.. Talk dirty to it...

Ok, now here's another question, provided I can get the beast out, when I put it in the motor that's going into my 7, how am I supposed to figure out the timing? There are supposed to be marks ont he pully but I don't think the marks survived 300k miles and 18 years.

Look for two close indentations on the pulley... that should be where the markings are. Mark them with white-out.
You can get the timing close by listening... it'll sound weaker when it's retarded, and stronger when it's advanced, but if you advance it too much you'll get backfiring in the intake when you give it lots of throttle... so it's best to set it with a timing gun.
