cracked s4 turbo exhaust housing

So I brought my turbo to a shop because i found a few small cracks on the inside and it turns out one of the small cracks comes right to the outside where the turbo mates to the exhaust manifold.

He told me he would not run this turbo. What are your thoughts on this? I know its a known problem on the rx7 turbos, is there a repair for this? I'm having a really hard time finding a turbo / exhaust housing.

Just an s4 turbo? I might have an exh housing for you if you want me to check. Would let it go cheap. Would get it replaced one way or another though

yes s4. If you can PM if your able to find it that would be awesome.

I plan to eventually go bigger turbo but just got the stock injectors cleaned so want to run the stock turbo for a little while.

I am not one bit surprised by this. It seems any 80's-90's OEM turbo cars have manifold cracking problem. Just throw an example out there, the Toyota MR2 has the same issue.

I'd run it if it's not rubbing anything.

I found a low mile S4 housing with only one crack, but I fully expect it to crack more as it ages.

That piece of iron goes through hell.

decided to buy a BNR stage 4, it needs a rebuild.

Would it be worth putting about $800 including the turbo and rebuild?

What would I need for fuel to run this at 6psi? I only have walbro 255 pump and 720cc secondaries but no ecu or FCD
