Screw fixing it. Find a clean title'd shell/frame/partscar and transfer everything over into it. You can buy straight body partscars for less than you can pay 2 days worth of bodyshop labor. It'd be stupid to fix that car.

Yes transferring everything to another shell is probably the best idea. I'd save your money and do that, then do some body work to the old S5 shell and make a nasty sleeper out of it.

Agreed, for all the cost of repair (totalled) get your friend to buy you a new one. He can then have the old one to try to sell or part out to recover his costs.

Getting a new body and swapping all the parts will cost you at least as much in time, energy, and dollars as just buying a replacement.

Damn thats a bad hit. You will have to reclip that whol quorter pannel and fix or clip the wrincling inside the cab. Not easy or cheep.

If you want this fixed it well be cheapest to buy a parts 7 or wrecked in the front or one from a junk yard with a good rear quorter. Someone will then have to clip the quorter and have the shop weld it back up. Eaither way it will suck and cost more then you could by another FC.

Maybe you can get a good body blown motor and swap them.

Why tell him that? Would you scam his parts from him too?

the difference here is that parts you damaged can be unbolted and replaced, a rear quarter panel cant. thats why it'd cost just as much as a new, running one to fix it. or, get a shell for ~500 bucks and swap it all over.
