Cooling system issue
ok, well i got a jspec into my friends FC but i was driving it for about 15 minutes and it was pretty chilly so i turned the heater on and it was blowing cold so i got scared and rushed home well when i was a block from the casa *POP* and white smoke is pouring from the hood so i get it home and my radiator hose exploded so i replaced the cap, hose, and t stat and my heater still blows cold and i dont want my friend to drive off with it bc it might overheat. has anyone experienced this before? any ideas would be appreciated.

Did you fill the system properly?
Open the block drain. Its on the drivers side engine mount.
When you refill coolant, you should have heater on WOT, fan WOT and fill as needed during 15 minutes, and after a quick drive around.
You have to use the air release located on the passenger side of radiator when you fill the system of you will get a ncie air lock, and the low coolant buzzer wil go off, if it works...
Did the low coolant buzzer go off? Maybe you have clogged heater core? Have you flushed the system?
Only use Mazda OEM T stats, all the rest are junk.
More details please.
Probadly if 1 hose was bad, all the rest are probadly shot..
Did you connect the coolant lines to the heater core? Did you replace them? These lines always pop due to the increase temps being back by the firewall and engine, with no good cool airflow.

might be the heater core clogged....the coolant buzzer was going off as soon as the car started. i thought it was bad so i grounded it because the coolant and oil are full. so you think an air pocket caused excess pressure in the coolant system??? seems kind of weird
