coolant smell

coolant smell

hi i have a pretty much stock 86 rx7 and when i turn the heat on i smell coolant, theres no coolant leaking in car or outside of car nor am i missing any when i check. what do yall think this could be? any helps appreciated thxs

well, if your smeling it in the car, i would suspect the heater core. It might b a small leak, or it couild b soaked up by your rug

well i took up the carpet and didnt see any coolant so i guess its a small leak

get it fixed asap. You dont want to have to pull out your engine and take it apart for coolant seals

i did pull up carpet its dry. gotta be the core because i only smell it when i turn on heater and its very faint, plus i dont have to add coolant.
