Coolant routing assistance on 88TII

Ok, many thanks to Hailers who got me going yesterday with my fuel injection.

The car is a failed project that I bought. There are several things that were taken apart when I bought the car. This is the first.

I need help with coolant route. Hoses are missing and the FSM diagram is a little fuzzy. There is a small nipple on top of the rear housing. Does it go from the rear housing nipple to the bottom of the throttle body, then from the top of the throttle body to the back of the BAC, then from the front of the BAC to the small inlet on the water pump?

Thanks in advance.

I believe the rear housing nipple was a cap from the crossover line that went to the water pump housing to the rear housing. Is there a nipple on the rear of the water pump housing?

Just like you described. It helps installing the line b/t the rear housing and the throttlebody/intake, if the alternator is out of the way. That gives you more wiggle room to get at the bottom clamp on the hose that goes to the rear housing nipple.

I always put some vaseline on the hose so that bottom clamp will wiggle down easier when I install that clamp. You sort of tilt the intake up and to the left to access that lower hose clamp.

I always found that hose clamp to be real hard to install til I noticed NZConvertible's picture of it, and he had the alternator out of the way for obstructional removal purposes.

Thanks for the replies.

It is a good thing that the fellow I bought this thing did not get it started. He had a hose from top of the TB to the BAC, and from the front of the BAC to the waterpump, but then he had a hose that went from the nipple on the rear housing, around the back of the upper intake, around the side of the engine, past the BAC. There he apparently lost his way and just kinda gave up. He left it there, about 2-1/2' long with the hose clamp on the end. It looks like it was hooked up to something, but I cannot figure out what he had going on.

The bottom nipple on the TB was just left all alone, waiting for someone to fix the fuel injectors so it could call attention to the mistake...
