Coolant Leaking from Thermowax?

I started up a rebuilt engine recently and saw a slow coolant leak from the throttle body area. I assumed it was the hoses on the thermowax but it was actually the thermowax gasket where it meets the throttle body. I tightened down the thermowax and almost got it to stop, but not quite. I thought this gasket only blocked air so a coolant leak there would indicate a broken thermowax assembly? Or can I just get a new gasket and be in good shape?
