LIM coolant leak :(

Hey guys, well, I've had a coolant leak that seems to be slowly getting worse. I pulled the UIM today and there is a pool of coolant right bleow the injectors, right where the LIM to engine gasket is. When I squeezed the coolant hose, I could see the coolant sort of make a little wave.

Can I just pull this thing off, silicone it, or should I just take my time and order the gasket from Mazdatrix (or the dealer)?

Is it THAT important of a gasket?

Thanks

Don't forget the two rubber o-rings for the LIM to block gasket.

yeah, I didn't install em. I didn't realize O-rings go there, well, I didn't want to admit it after I put it all together. I didn't see any in there when I took it out, but who knows. now it all makes sense.

Make SURE to rule out any other water leaks, like from the water nipple on the back of the block. Pulling the lower intake manifold is a LOT of work.

Yeah... well, I've taken it off a few times. I got a rebuild a few months ago, and did it all myself. Then, the LIM was leaking, but I thought it was the gasket, so put some silicon around the parts where the 0 ring goes. I also broke a bolt in the LIM that goes to the turbo water line, so I had to take it off (and the turbo again) and get it taken out at a welding shop.
