Mystery Coolant Leak

I have a very small amount of coolant pooled on the top of my intake manifold. It's never been there before, and its NEVER leaked any liquids onto the driveway. My coolant level is perfect, and I cant figure out where its coming from... Time to tear everything apart and do all the seals? It does burn a bit too much oil when its cold, but it dosent bug me. LOL! Smells like dirtbike. MMMmm...

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the water pump gasket that was leaking.

If your leak is like what scott1982 has a pic of then its a intake o ring leak. You have to take the intake manifold off, throw some new intake o rings in and new intake manifold gasket on and put everything back together. intake manifold gasket and intake o rings would cost around 15 bucks and thats all you need. hylomar too, to hold the o rings in place while you put the gasket on after.

Yep, the intake o rings are out....so you need to put new ones in as well as the gasket for the intake manifold. The torque on the bolts should be 9-13 ft. lbs. I was told the sequence by trochoid about the bolts so pm him. I think it was bottom far left, bottom far right. upper left, upper right, then middle ones.. idk though..thats what I think. pm trochoid. he'll tell you.

Just torque up slowly moving from nut to nut. It helps to have a shorthandle 3/8 drive torquewrench, HarborFreight has them. the ORings can usually be gotten at the local Ace hardware or Tru Value.
