Coolant hose friendly reminder...

For those of you who are still running your air pumps it may be a good idea to check your lower radiator hoses. I removed my emissions and air pump yesterday and noticed I had a 3 inch split and a forming leak on my hose right behind where the air pump usually hides. Needless to say, I'm very happy I decided to remove my emissions yesterday. Could have turned into a big problem fast!

Darn right. And also, from my personal experience, replace those alternator/Waterpump belts once per year as well. They won't fail while you are sitting in the driveway with the engine off! They fail on the road and usually on a 100* day!!!

Thanks for the reminder!

It had all sorts of that nice gunky yellow/green crusty buildup forming around it from the leaking coolant. Not good.

I replaced top and bottom hoses, the heater hose, and the BAC hose when I first got it. I've put 15,000 miles on it. It just kinda popped up from wear and tear. Hoses usually last longer than 15,000 miles... They don't make em like they used to.
