Coolant flush

I recently did a complete coolant flush and changed all hoses. The first time went without a hitch but the problem was I was slowly leaking coolant and couldn't figure out why. So I used a pressure tester and found out that one of my hoses were loose so I tightened them. The problem was though, I lost alot of coolant doing the test and filled up as much as I could with faucet water since I was at work and the coolant buzzer wouldn't stay off. So I drove home like that and left it to cool until I could flush it again. Well this time after all was said and done, I kept seeing a few little bubbles come up here and there not a steady stream or to a set time, it was really random. It would just happen randomly but it seems like it won't stop. Is this normal or have I just blown my coolant seal? I don't think it can be any of the hoses still because I pressure tested it again after re tightening the hoses and it held 15psi. I need feedback, thanks.

Forgot to mention that I used the Lisle funnel to bleed it.

Probably just me, but when I fully drain all the coolant out of the engine using the drain plug on the left side of the engine, I always have a difficult time getting the system full again. The reason lies partially in that thermostat shuts off and there's a lack of flow b/t the engine and radiator, when the water is cold and being poured in. Like the thing tops off even when using the bleed screw on the left of the radiator, but after driving for a half hour I can come back home and have to fill it up again...and bleed it again.

About that deal where they suggest you can figure out if there is a blown engine water seal..............Your not looking for small tiny bubbles like you'd see in a simmering pan of water, but your looking for large burps of air all the time. That's just my opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you have water leaks, then if the engine is fully hot you should be able to look under the car after its idled for ten or more minutes and see water dripping on the gnd. If water is leaking bt the intake manifold and the engine ( turbo cars only, Intake o'ring failure), then it can puddle under there and you won't see the leak for quite a while, but if you elevate the front of the car on car ramps, it'll start dripping regular down below the engine/transmission area. Rev the engine will help find the leak. No dripping but constantly having to refill the radiator........not good. Some suggest if that's so, then fil the radiator up fully and get the engine hot. Then shut it off and let it sit overnight. Then the next morning, remvove the Lead sparkplugs and look for water coming out the sparkplug holes. IF not, then rotate the engine slowly backwards and look for water out the plug holes. Water did come out the holes? Maybe time to trade the car under the Clunkers For Cash Gov't program. It's good up to 4500 bucks if your car was advertised for under 18mpg when sold new. Something like that. Like buy a SMART car that costs ???? 12,000 and deduct the 4500 bucks from that. I'm kinda wandering here.

I think large pocket of air form or get trapped when the system is completley emptied. Like where the drain plug is on the left of the engine....that passage has no flow whatsoever and air can get trapped there.

Well, I left it on for quite a while when I was bleeding it. I guess I will wait a bit and check to see if coolant starts going missing and try to bleed it one more time. I'll check out the spark plug holes too. Hopefully it's just air. I'd really hate to have to get rid of her. Thanks.

Did you run the car with full heat on then let cool and bleed the system. You might have some bubbles in the heater core?

Yup, heater was on full heat, full on. Let it run for quite awhile but a few bubbles would still surface here and there which is why I am puzzled. So I'm gonna do what I said above later and see how that turns out.

So, I tried to bleed it again. No dice, still would have a bubble here and there. I did what you said HAILERS2 and took off the leading spark plugs and rotated the engine backwards and no coolant came out which is a good thing but then why is this thing still have bubbles dammit? The spark plugs looked pretty dry, here is a picture although blurry since my camera sucks at taking close pictures
<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v355/xIJTIx/?action=view&current=spark.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v355/xIJTIx/spark.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
What shall I try next? I could try the pressure tester again but it did pretty well the last time and I'm pretty sure everything is tight now.
