dont put coolant in the resivoir.
1st, open the bleeder plug where the radiator is.
2nd, open the cap where the air pump is.
3rd, start ur car up when the engine is cold.
4th, put coolant through the air pump.
5th, keep on putting coolant until the buzzer turns off and no more coolant is commin out from the bleeder plug.
thats it. ez sauce

This started happening to my car just before it went BANG. I bled the radiator all the time to try to get the buzzer to stop. It would stop then a week later, be back agian.
When I took my engine apart, there was coolant in the oil.
Just a heads up. Not saying your is going to blow, but maybe smell the dipstick to see if there's coolant in your engine.

I "lost" my emissions....
its probably just an ait pocket in your radiator, you can full it let it run the keep adding coolant and eventually itll all come out, squeeze the upper rad hose too.
you can find out about your coolant seals by taking off the upper rad cap and cranking the car over with the eng. inj. fuse out and if you get lots of bubbles youll be looking ar a rebuild.

Does this make sense? The gauge is a gauge. It measures but doesnt effect the flow. YOur problem is either it hasnt been bleed properly (there is a procedure for adding coolant that has been posted for you), You have a leak (there are many places you can leak coolant externally) or you have bad coolant seals inside the engine. Sometimes this can be fixed using blockseal. you should take advantage of the search function of the forum or continue to ask questions that will not be answered. BTW, if your gauge is not working, how will you know if the car is overheating? Fix the gauge (Search the forum or consult the Factory Service manual (also available online if you SEARCH for it)

Because you fucked the car up more, instead of fixing it.

I'll get around to fixing it right some day but for now I would rather chance my already screwed motor and not hear that annoying buzz. Thanks for the warning though.

If the buzzer is going off, it means you have low coolant in the Radiator... not the resevoir (and about 1.5 inches low actually).
The resevoir is simply there to catch the coolant from going onto the ground when the pressure is above .9 bar.

and there is no such thing as an air pump cap.
Take the cap off the radiator and fill it.
If you have multiple caps take off the highest one and fill it.
This is not rocket science.

i know the exact reason for this , you have a leak in your intake plenum, that is the most obivious reason but if its not that then u have a vacum leak some where , but most likely its the intake plenum, this happened to me and i did what all these other people did but in the end it was this , it could be a small crack or that you intake plenum is not torqued tight enough.... hahaha fixed your problem didnt I.

In fact the nearest that the coolant lines come to the intake are to the back of the BAC valve and to the Throttle bodies thermowax cold idle assit.
He will not be loosing coolant through the intake
