Exclamation Coolant Buzzer on 1986 RX-7...

Hey everyone.

This is going to be a pretty long post. I want to be as thorough as possible.

I bought my 86 about 2 weeks ago. However, about a week into ownership, my washer and add coolant light came on, along with the buzzer. When I turn the key on, or start the car, the buzzer comes on within about 5 seconds or so of turning on the key.

Here is the situation:

Oil is full.

Rad, and overflow is full. (Also filled it with engine cycled)

Did the 'coolant seal test' by cranking with the engine the cap off, no bubble, no gushing.

My temp gauge is fine, it does not over heat, the gauge does not fluctuate and running the heater has no obvious affect on the reading.

I have spent the last 5 days searching this issue on the forum before I spoke up, and found a wealth of information, and there are also alot of grey areas as well.

I know for a fact that my oil and temperature is fine. I have checked, and doubled checked again the levels of both.

Any ideas on what could be causing this would be most appreciated. Sorry for the long post, just not in the mood to get flamed for not searching, or lack of information.

i had this prob a while back.(damn that buzzer is annoying!)..turned out the wire to the sensor had come off...i soldered it back on to the nipple on top of the rad and prob solved...if it is still attached, check continuity as corrosion may also cause problems....that solder is 20 years old after all....
