Convince me....
Hmm. I was in this exact same situation about 8 weeks ago. Posted a near identical thread.
So why are you interested in the FC? What are you looking for from it?
If you want me to convince you... lets see... the FC is wonderfully responsive... the Turbo IIs are very very quick, (though you get used to it after about a week, sadly)... the cars look awesome (though I'm very partial to TIIs with the hoodscoop and lip/sideskirts).. and theyre reasonably priced.
Only downside to them is they require strict maintanance, can be expensive to repair if you arent handy with a wrench, and they drink gas at an alarming rate. Especially the Turbo IIs.
That is all.

well Im lookin for in a TII is that right now I have an Eclipse RS and dont love the Chrysler engine and the fact that is Front wheel drive. The car can have alot of power just doesnt at the present condition. How much HP can I expect at the wheels and at the crank from the TII? I dont know...I just like RX7s but cant afford the FDs.
Hmm. Well I belive the FC is rated at about 200 HP at the flywheel. They dont have crankshafts. You are aware of the fact that an RX-7 has a rotary engine, right? No pistons, no camshafts, no valves?
Basicly, the RX-7 will blow the doors off of an Eclipse RS. It would probably even beat an Eclipse GS-X or GS-X owing to its lighter weight. I havent had the chance to race any yet, so I cant tell you for sure.
The RWD aspect is cool. But it takes learning. A lot of learning. Snap oversteer is not fun unless you know how to handle it.

yea im aware...i was just too caught up in the moment haha...my best friend has an FD and it is bad a$$. I think a TII would beat the GSX top end wise but i really doubt that it would beat the GSX at take off due to the superior traction of the awd.
50/50 weight distribution, the rotary engine makes the car really quick around corners. But if corners ain't your thing, it could be made into a really nice drag car so its really flexible.
Simple exhaust and intake mods on a turbo II and you could be hitting low 14's easily.

RX7's are really rare. A true cult classic and beautiful car.

Let's see: TII is the cheapest car for the most thrust you can get. (assuming we're talking about actual performance vehicals) It handles well, wide power band, brakes well, well balanced. In it's day it was probably similar price to a modern day prelude (acounting for inflation), it's certainly better than that. Better than comparable supra, talon, 300ZX, etc. At the moment a comparable shape/milage car listed above will run you much more. Spend lots of time researching the car and you will see!

Affordable price, relatively indestructible drivetrain (watch the boost and fuel levels) and looks that rival those of exotics.
