Why I need a Efini Y pipe....

Convince me to buy a Efini Ypipe.....I know it is stonger at the joint. Will It free the air up or what?

I heard you can get 10 HP from this mod....Is this correct?

I think it is a good upgrade. I got an extra pound of boost when I did the upgrade. I don't know about HP figures but it is definately worthwhile and you already have a PFS intercooler so it should fit fine.

I agree that it is a great mod. Boost does go up and so does power, by a noticeable ammount. Since it's compatible with your IC you should go for it. Unless I am mistaken, '96 J-spec models which use it were rated with more HP.

Increase flow and will not fail at the joint.

I installed the Efini Y-pipe a few months back. The boost went up about 1 psi and I could feel a little stronger pull in the mid to upper rpm. This was on top of M2CAI, RP DP, RB CB, M2ECU, RP pulley, 17 lb flywheel. I'd say it was a much better $250 spent than the pulley was. Jack

Guys, I am thinking about the same mod. Any major hurdles to get over to install it yourself?
