Convertible Question
Does anybody know if there were many RX-7 cars that were convertibles and had LSD as well? Was just curious because I just picked up a new parts car but wont be able to take delivery until tomorrow. Just wanting to prepare myself for anything in particular I should be paying extra attention to on this car, because it's the first Vert. RX-7 I've ever parted.

The Verts Suspension is heavier/stiffer than the coupes. If you buy heavy duty springs or anti sway bar, you are just getting Vert parts.
The Vert chassis is stiffer as well to handle the fact that there is no roof.
Not all Verts had an LSD and I am not sure if many did. There should be a Tag on the Differential to let you know if it is indeed an LSD.

This thread is over a month old-I am buying parts from the car you guys are discussing.
But, here goes...
There were no US verts that had LSD installed.
They all had the 'hard' suspension which is roughly equal to TII: 4-pot front brakes, vented rear disks. The springs are slightly higher rate, but that is due to the slightly higher curb weight on the Vert. It is not significant and TII after market springs are frequently used on Verts-(I have TII Eibach Prokits on my 90 Vert). The Shocks and Struts are interchangeable with all other FC's. The Hood is N/A style and made from aluminum. The BBS wheels are forged aluminum-strong and extremely light (11.5lbs), making great track wheels.
