Continues to run
Continues to run
When I turn the car off it diesels (continues to run) for a couple a seconds then sputters its way dead. Anyone else had a problem like this. It doesnt seem like its as simple as the ignition lock cylinder. I think I have leaky fuel injectors, could that also cause this problem?
I had not heard of a rotary dieseling.
That's got to be hard on it.
I'd start with new plugs, one tank of a different brand of high test and a double shot of good injector cleaner.
Then some good 2nd gear pulls to the redline.

Its got new plugs, new fuel filter, new plug wires, and I run premium in it. This is really beginning to get on my nerves. I cant trace the problem. So let me tell you everything the car is doing and see if anyone has any ideas. Its continues to sputter its way dead after a couple of seconds when the key is turned off like said before. Cranking the car sometimes requires me to hit the gas pedal down a bit to get it to start. When it runs with the clutch in it idles at about 1000-1200 but when I let the clutch out in neutral it idles to low. That doesnt make any sense to me. It takes a while for it to warm up when its cold. It floods after being driven for a bit, but not always. Its pissin me off I tell you. I think the injectors are suspect, but I think theres more to it than that. I've tried adjusting the TPS and BAC screw to no avail. I'm out of ideas. Anyone?

Do you have an e-fan, and in that case what have you hooked it up to?
I have my e-fan hooked onto the connector at the drivers side struttower, which i think is for the AAS.
Anyways my car diesels too, but only when the e-fan is hooked up, so im thinking that when i kill the ignition, the spinning of the e-fan makes the motor work like an alternator and produces power foe a few extra seconds---Wierd

My e-fan is on its own ground. It cant be the idle. Cause it does it when the clutch is out (the car idles too low when the clutch is out). Do you guys think a leaking primary injector could cause this? And why does my idle drop when I let the clutch out. I would think the total opposite would happen. This is confusing. I've searched the internet and my haynes manual but I cant find any explanation. Kim, I think you might be on to something though. I'll start running throught the electrical system.
