Confused
The silver thing is actually the turbo right. The rusty thing it is attached is what?

I already have the manifold off, which the turbo bolted to, then the engine.

I just dont' know

turbo AKA turbosupercharger basics:
The silver side = cool side = compressor.
The rusty side = hot side = exhaust turbine.
