After making various test and playing with my engine for about a week I fear it's burning coolant. I know I must have a faulty seal (at the very least) but I'd just like confirmation from people in the know. Here are the results the various tests:
Compression test: Front rotor as three spikes of about 145-150 psi. Rear rotor has three spikes of 130 psi.
Smells: Sweet smell in exhaust and I think there's also faint exhaust smell in the coolant.
Coolant check: coolant level seams to have droped somewhat but the car didn't run for more then 10 minutes. When cranking after removing the filler cap I could clearly see coolant gushing out of the rad. Also I had lot of pressure in the system after running the engine for 2 min and it was still cold.
I'm pretty sure I have a blown seal but I'm still hoping for the best, it's the human nature lol. I just dont want to remove the engine for nothing and I surely dont want to waste money rebuilding it since I'm going turbo this summer. Any feedback is appreciated, I really want to see the car on the road.

It does blow out some white smoke but the car was stored for a year before I bought it and litterally had a puddle of oil in the exhaust so I cant be sure if the smoke is coolant or not.

it wont always blow white smoke out of the exhaust depending where the leak is. if its pressurizing the system thats bad just from cranking it's pretty safe to say its blown.

yeah it should be good assuming you didnt overheat it really bad or for a long time or multiple times. as far as blown engines go, a coolant seal is about the best thing you can ask for. all your irons and rotors and housings will usually be fine. sometimes the jacket that the coolant seal sits in corrodes, so check to make sure its not cracked around the edges. a basic gasket set with all new springs and new apex seals should be all you need. depending on what seals you get, this can range from around $800-1000 USD.

as far as I know the car only overheated once and was shut down as soon as the coolant gauge reach the top (S5). 1000$ for a gasket kit? damn I'm getting a TII engine lol. I dont mind keeping a good N/A engine but I can have TII one for 1500. Not sure if its worth rebuilding the one I've got.
