Cone Intake Vacuum lines?
Cone Intake Vacuum lines?
I just got a used cone intake system for my 88TII. It did not have any connections for the vac lines that are currently connected to the stock airbox. It looks like the connections go to the charcoal cannister and the air bypass valve. I take it these must be reconnected again? My car is stock so all vac routing is still in place. Any insight here would be appreciated.
Thanks

A pod filter only replaces the airbox, which only has one large hose connected to it for the air pump. The PCV and ABV lines connect to the turbo intake duct (TID), which is totally seperate and doesn't need to be touched when installing a pod filter.
Are you replacing the TID as well as the airbox?

Jason,
Yes I am replacing the entire TID. So since my new 3"pipe does not have any connectors for those vac lines is that going to be an issue? I am thinking I have to weld a couple of nipples to recconect these lines.

That's what I did for the ABV (aka BOV) on mine, and I plan to add another one for the PCV line if I add a catch can.
